I\u2019ve learned many things throughout the last few months and am proud of my first major accomplishment \u2013 Procore Certification. We use Procore on the job to look at drawings, create RFIs and submittals and communicate with subcontractors. The project manager on this project was a great mentor for me. Even though she was busy every hour of the day, she still made time to answer my questions and guide my learning. I was also fortunate to work with a patient and supportive office engineer who helped me learn all the details associated with completing RFIs and submittals.<\/p>\n<p>As a senior at The University of Vermont, I\u2019ve spent a lot of time in the classroom and was able to translate those skills into more hands-on experiences. I am particularly thankful for the problem solving skills I learned at UVM that allowed me to be an active team contributor in the field.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, I chose PC because they have so much to offer \u2013 employee ownership, a work-life balance and people who embrace new ideas to achieve the best project outcomes.<\/p>\n<p><em>Hussein is a Civil Engineering senior at The University of Vermont. He is also a member of the Vermont National Guard, serving our country.
