\"TheThe Metro<\/a> project in Kingston, New York, is coming together nicely! This community-focused project will revitalize a century-old manufacturing warehouse into safe, supportive space for creativity.<\/p>\n

The 75,000-square-foot renovation will incorporate offices, multipurpose rooms, community gathering and assembly spaces, a training and catering kitchen and associated caf\u00e9, and a 20,000-square-foot fabrication center.<\/p>\n

The main focus is currently on final finishes for the first phase \u2013 the 20,000-square-foot fabrication center. Final painting and permanent power will be completed in November as coordination with the client and their equipment vendors continues behind the scenes. The final space \u2013 which will feature new technologies such as 3D printing as well as traditional tools for woodwork, metal work and textiles \u2013 will be turned over by year-end.<\/p>\n

The second phase \u2013 tenant suite core and shell construction \u2013 continues as the owner works with the community to thoughtfully design these spaces. The \u201cMetro Downtown\u201d \u2013 standalone CMU structures built within the existing building \u2013 are topped out at their final height as we await design input on structural framing and fa\u00e7ade finishes. This work is targeted to be completed in Spring 2026.<\/p>\n

Future work \u2013 the commercial kitchen, teaching kitchen and community salon \u2013 continue with design development, with construction scheduled to go through 2026.<\/p>\n

We are looking forward to continuing our partnership with the owner and architect as we help to bring this beautiful new facility to fruition.
