The company earned a <strong>Best Builders Award<\/strong> in the Heavy Industrial Renovation category for its work on the Green Mountain Power Dam in Middlesex, and one of PC\u2019s project managers, Anne Minor, won a Rising Stars Award.<\/p>\n<p>The $2.1 million Middlesex Dam project, which completed in November 2020, included the installation of new vertical rock anchors along the crest of the dam, concrete resurfacing along the crest, and rock stabilization in the spillway. The work required careful planning and extensive safety precautions to transform the dam\u2019s crest into a functional, accessible and safe construction site for both employees and heavy equipment.<\/p>\n<p>The project was completed on time, on budget, and without injury while maintaining uninterrupted operations at this site.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis project was incredibly challenging in nature and scope,\u201d said Eve Norris, Vice President of PC Construction. \u201cOur Special Projects team executed the work safely and efficiently to meet all of the owner\u2019s goals while maintaining their critical operations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>PC Project Manager Anne Minor, who has been with PC Construction for eight years, was honored by AGC\/VT with a <strong>Rising Stars Award<\/strong>. The award, which recognizes exceptional leadership in the construction profession, was focused on the state\u2019s top women in the industry.<\/p>\n<p>Said Norris: \u201cFor Anne to receive this recognition from AGC is just another testament to her incredible work ethic and her love of all things construction.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Minor has led teams on several major projects, including the recently completed historic Omni Mount Washington addition and renovation and, currently, the $21.6 million Southwestern Vermont Health Care Emergency Department modernization project.<\/p>\n<p>Upon acceptance of her award, Minor said, <em>\u201c<\/em>I love seeing the fruits of my labor at the end of every day, and most of all I love the teamwork.
